Chess Coaching Club Back in April, not long after the ability to create clubs started here on GK, I forked over $20 and started the Chess Coaching Club. The idea was to create a place to pair up coaches and students and have threads related to learning. We had a strong period of activity and matched up a lot of students and coaches. In fact, we have more members than any other club out there.
*
However, things have slowed down considerably recently in terms of coach and student posting as well as general discussions. Part of that's my fault - I haven't been stirring the pot much. And part of it is just the fact that a lot of folks who might be interested in such a club already have their coach/student relationship going.
*
If you haven't checked out the club, though, please do. Right now we particularly need some coaches. Typically, we're looking for folks who are rated at least 1500 and we ask that you try to coach folks who are 300-400 points lower rated than you are. Of course, if we get an influx of coaches offering services, we'll need students too - so please take a look from either side.
*
One note - to join a club you have to being a paying subscriber to GK. If you're not and you find a coach through the postings, please let me know. If you're not a member and you want to get a coach or a student, drop me a line and I'll post it for you.

IT's a Fav of mine ... I've got this club on my browser FAV's and it is a fav of mine when there's commentary going on there. I found it to be quite interesting, until things slowed down. And a lot of good players were offering good insights there. Like wschmidt , apastpawn , and others.
So I would certainly like to be going there again, if it looks like there is going to be renewed interest in it. Though I am not able as a personal coach, it was quite informative to see ideas of others there about the matter and Chess in general.

A Good Club, with potential for Greatness ...
Hope to see you there soon !
